Meet Your Fishing Guide

Hello! I’m Brandon Hiatt, your fishing guide.

Born and raised in Klamath Falls, I’ve been fortunate to grow up wandering these creeks and rivers.

I was handed down multiple generations of wisdom, passion and love for the outdoors.

It has allowed me to teach and demonstrate these strategies, knowledge and techniques to fellow anglers and future anglers on and off the river.

Once you choose your fishing adventure, I’ll prepare and do my best to ensure we have a successful trip!

Guided Fishing Trips

Rogue River

Trip Length: 4 – 8 hours
Season: Mid-Summer – Early-Fall
Fish: Salmon, Steelhead
Gear: All gear and tackle will be provided.

See FAQ for what to wear, bring and how to prepare.

Southern Oregon’s famous Rogue River keeps anglers busy all year round. The Rogue River is blessed with a constant supply of cold water stored in Lost Creek Lake that gets fed from Crater Lake watershed.

The fishing season starts on the Rogue chasing Spring Salmon in late April and early May in the upriver portion near Shady Cove, Oregon. These are some of the best table fare of the year.

We narrowed our techniques to back trolling plugs and back bouncing eggs to rile these ferocious fighting Spring Salmon.

As spring fishing leadsinto summer with temperatures warming up, we offer family friendly combo fishing trips. You’ll fish for salmon and cast lures for hatchery-stocked trout that can lead to multiple catches in the 10 – 30 fish range.

During the dog days of mid-summer, the summer Steelhead starts to show up and offers a variety of different salmonoid species to chase using various techniques.

One of the more famous fisheries on the Rogue River has become the bug and bubble season. As Autumn comes, a bait restriction sets in. During this time, we use flies and have found that fishing under a bobber with a conventional rod is highly effective.

This fishery is for the beginner to the most experienced fly fisherman. Come fish in our heated custom Willie Drift Boat for some of the finest table fare.

Wood River

Trip Length: 4 – 8 hours
Season: Mid-Summer – Early-Fall
Fish: Brown Trout, Trophy Redband Trout
Gear: All gear and tackle will be provided.

See FAQ for what to wear, bring and how to prepare.

Wood River is a small short creek-like river flowing 18 miles through the Freemont-Winema National Forest emptying into Agency Lake. Harboring aggressive Brown Trout and trophy Redband Trout float the lower 8 miles of this windy river lined with tules, willows and deep undercut banks.

From fly fishing to conventional spring rods, we have options suitable for all levels of skill and interest to succeed in this fishery.

Upper Klamath River

Trip Length: 4 – 8 hours
Season: Mid-Summer – Early-Fall
Fish: Trophy Redband Trout
Gear: All gear and tackle will be provided.

See FAQ for what to wear, bring and how to prepare.

Nestled at the base of Pelican Butte, teaming with wildlife, come experience nature while fishing the Upper Klamath Lake for Redband Trophy Trout. This is a fishery that anyone can enjoy. Whether you’re sinking flies at the mouths of creeks or trolling the flat water, the Upper Klamath is known to produce multiple fish days, sometimes in the double digits. Many fish are an average of 3 – 6 pounds, and larger fish are common.

Come along as we fish various techniques and offer multiple packages for this fishing experience, including half and full day trips.

South Coast Salmon

Trip Length: 4 – 8 hours
Season: Mid-Summer – Early-Fall
Fish: Salmon
Gear: All gear and tackle will be provided.

See FAQ for what to wear, bring and how to prepare.

Port Orford, the Elk and Sixes Rivers – Oregon’s oldest Seaport Town boasts some incredible late fall/winter Chinook Salmon fishing around. Set afire by the late fall rains, these big kings wait in the tidewaters until the rivers rise enough to make their way to their spawning grounds.

A relatively short set of rivers mixed with a short window of time allows some excellent success for salmon fishing. We target these rivers after heavy rainstorms when the fish move through the systems.

With many techniques, most of your success comes from back trolling plugs or back bouncing eggs through the pristine waters of Cape Blanco. Come along as we search for chrome bright table fare fresh out of the Pacific Ocean in our heated drift boat.

Williamson River

Fishing on the Williamson River

Trip Length: 4 – 8 hours
Season: Mid-Summer – Early-Fall
Fish: Native Trophy Redband Trout
Gear: All gear and tackle will be provided.

See FAQ for what to wear, bring and how to prepare.

A true test of the patience and willingness to return time and time again, the Williamson River keeps its respect among some of the most fabulous Trophy Native Redband fishing in the world. Come along as we search from our drift boat, precisely outfitted, for Upper Klamath Basin fly fishing.

Our techniques for this fishery include back trolling plugs and lures, swinging dry’s, and nymphing in deep clear pools leading to fast tail-outs where these world class fish reside.
